"And Jesus saith unto him, the foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man hath not where to lay His head." (Mat.8:20) Jesus never owned a home, He never had a family, and the only piece of property He had on Earth was His garment!
"It is enough that a disciple be as his Lord!" "Having food and clothing, let us therewith be content." (Mat.10:25; 1Tim.6:8)--And yet look at what He's given us besides that! All the rest are extras!
The Lord loves us and He knows what's good for us and what we need and what will be a help and a blessing and convenient and make us happy and comfortable. He's pretty smart about that because He knows then we'll work harder and be more appreciative and do a better job!
The Lord believes in happy employees. To Him, our happiness is worth more than money. He's willing to let you have almost anything you want as long as you put Him first! Look how the Lord tries to make it easy for us to be good and serve Him! Delighting ourselves in Him, He gives us every desire of our heart! (Psa.37:4) Thank You Lord!
