I will not doubt though all my ships come home with broken sails!

I will not doubt though all my ships come home with broken sails!

When everything goes wrong and seems contrary to the Word and the usual, only those with great faith can say with Job, "Though He slay me, yet will I TRUST Him!" (Job 13:15) Even though the Lord let the Devil nearly destroy him, Job still didn't say "uncle" to the Devil, nor even to his wife who told him to curse God and die! He just kept on believing and obeying!--And he came out doubly blessed and lives forever!

But a lot of people faint on the way to victory. They get weak and tired and they give up. They "suffer so many things in vain". (Gal.3:4) They go though so much and then miss the victory!--Like Esau, they give up too easily. He despised his birthright and settled for something he could see and easily believe in, rather than something he couldn't see and had to have great faith for. (Gen.25:33-34)

So when things look darkest, don't look down!--Look UP! Be not fearful, but believing! Keep believing and obeying no matter what happens! Don't get down in the mouth, murmuring and discouraged, but praise the Lord and thank Him for the glorious victories of the future by faith, even if you can't see them now.--You'll be glad you trusted Him tomorrow!
