Bible Topics: Daydreaming and unprofitable thoughts

Definitions: Daydreaming is to have dreamlike musings or fantasies while awake. Unprofitable thoughts are the result of daydreaming, idleness, or worse yet, evil, rebellious thoughts given by the Enemy.

1. The Devil is battling for control of us through our minds.

2. Daydreaming may seem harmless at first, but if unchecked it can destroy our usefulness.

3. Daydreaming and unprofitable thoughts leads us away from the Lord.

4. Take a militant stand against daydreaming and bring your thoughts into subjection.

5. Fight daydreaming by keeping your mind on the Lord, the work at hand and the goals ahead.

6. Ask yourself, "Is this what the Lord wants me to be thinking about now?"

7. The danger of imagination, when not under God's control:

8. Fight daydreaming and unprofitable thoughts with the Word!

Dear Visitor, if this article or website has been a blessing to you, would you please consider to send me a gift through Paypal for my support toward my Gospel ministry? I am 67 years old with hardly any income so far this year, 2018, and I am moving to Guam (and saving for a plane ticket) in May to get married! The Lord Jesus blessed me beyond my dreams to give me a wife who is not only beautiful, intelligent, and younger than me, she also loves the LORD Jesus with all her heart and soul and seeks first the Kingdom of God!

I am also the webmaster of jamesjpn.net and you can read my bio on it.

You can send to my Paypal account: james.arendt@deeptruths.com

Because Deep Truths is not an official charity recognized by Paypal, please do not designate the funds as a "donation" for Paypal has rules against non-registered charities receiving gifts. It should be designated for "services rendered without shipping."

I hope you find this website a blessing.

Sincerely in Christ,
James Arendt

Also, God saw that the devilishness of man was incredible in the earth, and that each creative ability of the musings of his heart was just detestable persistently.

Hi James,
What an inspiring article. As a renewed Christian who daydreams/ed a lot, your article has enlightened me to what needs to be done in my thoughts, imaginations and daydreams to fight back and against this evil, and gratefully press on towards the Light of Life.
Thank you,
Russell
