"Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you." (1Cor.11:24)

The bread used for Communion represents His body. It's like a picture of our physical Salvation.

His body was broken for us in a number of ways.--The crown of thorns, the beatings, the stripes, the injuries He suffered, the pain He suffered. He didn't have to suffer all that for our sins, He only had to shed His blood and die for our sins. But His body suffered so that through this, He could also atone for our sicknesses: "By His stripes we are healed!" (Isa.53:5) To save our bodies, it took His body.

The best medicine in the World is the body of Jesus Christ which was broken for our healing! When you partake of the bread, it shows you have faith that His body was broken for your health, so claim His healing by faith when you partake. If we eat of it by faith, we are healed by faith. It's part of His atonement for Salvation for the whole man--body, soul and spirit.

Thank You, Lord, for this bread representing Thy body broken for us and our physical health. As Your body was broken for our healing, so let us have faith to partake of it accordingly, in Jesus' name, amen!

Deep Truths is a collection of the basic teachings of David Brandt Berg who was my pastor for 20 years and who led me on a path of service for Jesus Christ and showed me how to love God and others. I have been a missionary for Christ in Japan from 1974 to the present with the exception of 4 years in other countries, specifically Russia, China, Estonia and Poland. My hope is this website will inspire and feed God's sheep.

You probably won't hear some of these teachings in any public school or church! It is my earnest desire that by reading these articles you will have a major paradigm shift in your life to perceive reality the way your Creator wants you to perceive it! Deep Truths was first created on Jan. 5, 2004 in Niigata Japan. It is not an official web site of The Family International. By not "official", I mean it is not directly sponsored by the Family International World Services. Most of the articles on Deep Truths are publications from the Family International, but some of the opinions stated in the introduction to the articles are those of the webmaster, James Arendt. From January 2017 I have begun to post some different views and interpretations of Scripture that are not based on David Berg or the Family International's teachings.
